| PT 459 Joins The Fleet In Kingston, NY PT 459 has been stored in the Scarano Shipyard in Albany, NY for the last two Years. Scarano Boat Building On April 22, 2009, Tim Ivory led a crew from Fleet Obsolete aboard the tugboat Cornell to Albany, NY. They loaded PT 459 on to a barge and safely returned her to Kingston the following day. PT 459 is awaiting the arrival of a crane to put her on the "hard" next to PT 48. |

| PT 459 was also one of the few lucky boats that were returned to the US after the war. She was sold into private hands and performed in many capacities. One of it's more recent roles was as a Ferry on the South shore of Long Island NY where it was named the "Beachcomber IV". |
