Patrol Torpedo Boat 728 announces
Profiles In Courage Tour 2008

This summer, PT 728 will embark on a tour of ports in the lower Hudson region, Manhattan, and Long Island Sound. The “Profiles In Courage Tour” is dedicated to the memories of the soldiers and sailors of World War 2 and our most famous PT boat crew member, 35th President of the United States, John Fitzgerald Kennedy.

The public is invited to come aboard for a visit and a ride. PT 728 is a floating and living history museum where you can experience speed, nostalgia, and honor the courageous sailors of the greatest generation.

Kingston’s PT Boat Museum has three PT boats in its “Fleet Obsolete” collection. ‘728’ is the only PT boat certified by the Coast Guard to carry passengers. These multi-engine, wooden vessels operated at speeds of up to 40 knots during combat, and were designed to be highly maneuverable in shallow waters.

Please contact us for the dates and locations where you can come aboard and ride PT 728.
